Two days ago, the wrestling world lost Afa of The Wild Samoans. He began his wrestling career in 1971 and trained his younger brother , Sika. The brothers would go on to be known as The Wild Samoans. They would also go on to wrestle for Stu Hart’s Stampede Wrestling and a few NWA promotions in different territories. Afa and Sika would join the WWF in 1979 and were managed by Captain Lou Albano. They would leave in 1980 and return in 1983. The Wild Samoans would be 3 time WWF tag team champions. Afa would become the manager and tag partner for the tag team , The Headshrinkers ( Afa’s son , Samu , and Fatu, aka Rikishi ) , in 1992. He would leave the WWF in 1995 and open a wrestling school in 1997. Afa , along with Sika , would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007. Afa would also join Sika at WWE’s Hell In A Cell PLE on 2020 to crown Sika’s son , Roman Reigns , as the Tribal Chief. Afa is his uncle .

My condolences are with the Anoa’i family during this time. Afa will never be forgotten. I wanted to celebrate his life and career.
